FROM MAYTOWER.CA:
The May Tower condominium complex is located near the intersection of McCowan road and Highway 401 in Scarborough Centre, a hub in the Eastern part of the city of Toronto. It consists of two towers joined at the pedestal with a distinctive gold colored roof. May Tower I was completed in 1998 and is 23 stories tall while sister building May Tower II was completed in 2001 and has 24 stories.
There are no balconies but the windows are extra large and the views are getting quite interesting with all the new developments popping up in the vicinity. Lee Centre drive alone houses 6 high-rise buildings: Hillsborough Court I and II, Ellipse I and II and the two May Towers.
The whole Scarborough Centre area is undergoing a massive face-lift. Scarborough is under a redevelopment plan and the municipality is actively involved. For those thinking of buying property this area offers prices that are about $100 less per square foot than what you would pay elsewhere in the Greater Toronto Area.
