In their own words (from www.tridel.com):
Tridel is deeply committed to building the highest quality condominiums possible and is proud to be the recipient of the 2007, 2008 and 2010 Builder of the Year Award from Tarion. Over the past seven decades, Tridel has worked hard to earn the reputation of Canada's top builder of condominium communities, and has built more than 65,500 homes.
Tridel's History
Seven decades of construction has taught us a thing or two about building condominiums.
The Tridel story begins with Jack DelZotto, a stone mason who came to Canada from northern Italy in 1927. After a few winters in northern Ontario, Jack moved to Toronto and began building beautifully crafted homes for single families.
By the 1950's, Tridel had been formed. It was headed by Jack's three sons, and was involved in the development of subdivisions and small apartment buildings. In 1961, the company built its first apartment complex which featured twin towers with 260 suites each and a recreational centre including a swimming pool, fountains and fully landscaped grounds. This complex was the forerunner of the luxury condominium lifestyle, which is the hallmark of the Tridel building philosophy.
Over the years, Tridel has built many buildings, has grown into a thriving group of companies, and has become the industry leader in condominium development.
In order to maintain their leadership position, Tridel invests in intensive customer research, so that the buildings Tridel builds can support and facilitate their customer's lifestyles. Unlike many builders, Tridel projects span the length of the building process including: land acquisition, zoning, design, marketing, construction, customer care and property management.
Tridel has a long and proud history of innovation in construction and design. That history stems from the fact that Tridel employs some of Canada's top designers, planners and construction experts who ensure that every Tridel building is state of the art, and built to meet the needs of those who live in them.
