NEIGHBOURHOOD ALUM BUYS FLAIRE WITH PASSION
“I went to high school there, and I always loved the area,” says Marianne Urvari of her old Don Mills stomping grounds. These days, she’s a real estate professional whose office is in the Shops at Don Mills, and her experience has made her a true believer — before buying her own suite, she had sold three other units at Flaire to valued clients.
“The fact that Flaire is right at the Shops is huge,” she says. “It’s like a cross between Europe and California – it has a great feel, but it’s also a real community.”
“I just loved the sleek look,” she says of her fondness for Flaire. “It’s a beautiful development, and I love my balcony. To have an outdoor space that overlooks the Shops is so great.”
Urvari says in her business she sees a lot of properties, but that there was something truly special about Flaire. “Everyone who sees it is just mesmerized by it,” she says. “I show it to clients who are exclusively thinking downtown, and they’re awe-struck. The restaurants, the town square, the sheer prettiness of it convinces them. I just show it to them, and it really sells itself.”
Flaire is the third condominium residence to join Shops at Don Mills, and is rapidly becoming renowned for its distinctive design, which features balconies so fluid they appear to undulate horizontally along the exterior. Inside, smartly designed layouts and gorgeous amenities are a hallmark. The Hub, Flaire’s well-appointed party room, offers a chic entertaining space complete with chef’s kitchen and gleaming bar. Atop the four-storey podium that connects Flaire’s two 11-storey towers, a rooftop terrace features Miami-inspired cabanas, specially commissioned artwork and lots of cozy seating.
Shops at Don Mills is a unique urban village by Cadillac Fairview, one of the nation’s most successful and innovative investors, owners and managers of commercial real estate. Among its upscale retailers and world-class restaurants are Michael Kors, BCBG Max Azria, Anthropologie, and Mark McEwan’s Fabbrica.
Built in partnership with FRAM Building Group, an award-winning company renowned for its mixed-use communities, Flaire features 296 suites including one bedroom, one bedroom plus den, and two bedroom units from 504 to 1,100 square feet, starting in the mid-$200,000s. Larger combo units are also available.
